Well hopefully the fuse was the only thing, cause if that's the case, the fuse did it's job and everything should be fine.

So from my understanding there’s a little blocker (not the technical name) inside the shock, that blocker thing can be removed giving the shock more down travel making it an extended travel shock. I’m pretty sure the stock replacement shock and the extended travel shock are the same part number too. It should say something about extended travel in the name, it’s been awhile since I looked.

I don’t think Kings are overkill for Forest roads, I have them, but they do come with some more fine print, like they should be rebuilt every 30ish thousand miles. Extended shocks need aftermarket UCA’s, but either way if you plan on lifting over like 2.25-2.5” you should get Ucas to keep all your alignment numbers in check, from my understanding.

Tons of people rock the Ome stuff too and use their trucks on a lot rougher trails than me. It’s teally just depends on what you want to spend.

There are a lot more knowledgeable people on here than me, I’m sure they’ll chime in.

Correct. Only difference between an oe travel king or other brand of coilover is a small nylon spacer.

I think it’s 1/4” but I’ll have to double check tomorrow if I can remember.

I have a feeling that maybe me or my friend who towed the truck for me jumped it in reverse or something causing it the blow that 80A fuse. I really have no idea.

That big frayed thick power wire is also concerning. It doesn't look like it has been connected in a long time judging by the corrosion on the Copper.

Sounds better but don’t feel much of a difference. Also it might be hard to tell since I got 400 pounds in the bed.

Well at least I have the horn, the headlights, and the flashers going for me - which is nice.

Does the cable have 12volts to the cut end? could be the factory engine ground.

I doubt it has power since the main 80A fuse is blown. It is really corroded so it's been a while since it's been connected.

I'll have to check tomorrow when (and if) I can find an 80A Japanese-style Type C slow-blow fuse. That's a mouthful.

Thing is I can't find the other end of it. The frayed wire in my picture is the only side of the wire I could find.

You didn't put a fuse in it yet?
