I think having the entire "U"bar is a bit much for DRL.. so I was thinking of breaking it into 2 sections;
Upper straight bar being the DRL, and the lower "L" being turn. This way the DRL will look "angry" while the turn signal is plenty visible being isolated. The other option is #2 with an entire switchback LED strip; everything white, everything switch to amber on turn.

I like #3 the best. I think the white/orange combo of #1 might look odd.

 

Option #2 and I want that for my headlights

 

Hybrid 1 & 2.
White upper section DRL.
All of it Amber for turn.

Interested too in seeing the final result. I have them and so far pretty happy.
The DRL is way more dim than my factory lights had, which I'm not too happy with.

I currently have Morimoto LED fog lights and put Morimoto H7 2stroke LED bulbs in the low beam. I am very please with the cut off for now.

I agree with you on the drl, not as bright as oem and that's why I'm really following this thread in hopes that mesojdm can replicate what he plans to do and sell that part to us with these same housings. He may not be able to, but it's a hope

 

Also for the portion that is combo white during DRL mode and amber during turn can the white be suppressed during turn so that it's just amber or off during turn?

 

Yes. It would be a DRL switchback turn module that would deactivate the DRL while turn is active.

 

last request. Make the amber less yellow and more orange.

 

I vote for #2 but Stew will probably throw my vote out as I'm the one who may have suggested kidnapping him to extract some DNA to clone his Taco creative genius!
