Tire Recommendations

My OE Goodyears are getting pretty worn and I am starting to look for some replacements. I dont need anything super aggressive. I do a lot of beach driving in soft sand so I want a tire that can handle that environment. What are your recommendations?

 

As you know from driving on the sand the biggest thing is to air down. Think 15 psi to maybe 20 at the most. Some of the ATs will be fine such as Toyo AT2 and General Grabber AT2 but if you don't do anything off-road other than beach driving then consider something like a Nitto Dune Grappler. That tire would suck in the mud but it is pretty much a dedicated sand tire. Are you going to do anything off road besides hitting the sand?

 

I've got General Grabber AT2's on my '04--they're pushing 20K miles and have barely started to show any wear. They're quiet on the road and do GREAT off-road. As soon my stocker Goodyears are trash, I'll likely put a set on my '17 also.

I do mostly beach driving too and am interested in the dune grapplers. Has anyone put them on a stock TRD OR? Any info on fitment?
