Does anyone know why on the Volant website the intake with scoop is only for 2005-2011 2.7L Tacoma's and not the 2014 with the same motor? I really like the scoop and was thinks my about this set up or the AFE intake ?

I put a K&N filter in my stock airbox on my 2.7, along with new NGK Iridium sparkplugs, it definitely pulls better but that is because I really needed new spark plugs, like bad, I had a rough idle and stalling. The largest gain from the new filter is it’s washable and it sounds great with my stock exhaust.

From what I’ve read not much improvement is available from intake, your intermediate steps in this case are exhaust headers and a new exhaust pipe.
https://www.lceperformance.com/Street-Header-Kit-2005-2017-2TR-2-7-Liter-Tacoma-p/1041055.htm” is the most commonly recommend header and for posterity in case this the link is dead for future generations it is for exhaust headers from LC Engineering.

Off to research if a tune is available for our 2tr-fe motors yet...
