Wasn't that literally the most problem filled year? Thought I read that back when I was first looking to buy.

Well if it was, I skipped out on all of it. I have had normal wear and tear maintenance associated with wheeling my truck over the last ten yrs and some pre-mature wear due to the modifications I made throughout the years. Only thing that ever sucked was the gas pedal recall. If I could only get my full gas pedal back....:annoyed:

Everything revolves around the dollar, but at least some companies care about at least giving the consumer what they want... To try and give them a good experience.

The Hellcat line... Just for shits and giggles they throw ridiculous engines in basically everything they make.

Toyota continues to ride the coat tails of decades past when they actually made high ranking pickups. Now it's just old basic bleh that is ONLY still rated high because (most) people don't mind bending over and taking it.

Sure the tundra and Tacoma are decent vehicles. But reliability is slipping as the turd gen has proven. Far from properly powered (taco), and far from decent mpg (although turd gen tacos seem better, at the expense of continuous shifting). Infotainment on Tundra feels like an afterthought that was "integrated" while it was on the assembly line. All other manufacturers have insane options and gadgets while Toyota offers all weather floor mats.

All the "common" issues that would cost Toyota nothing to fix but they keep the problems around for decades really grinds my gears (needle bearing, drivetrain vibrations due to lack of single driveshaft, the new air valve issues that are starting to pop up on the owners dime). People know they are issues that have been around for 13 years now, yap about how Toyota shouldn't have done it but then say Toyota produces a god-like vehicle. No they don't.

So yeah, a tundra and Tacoma are decent... In the same categories that i would rank domestic mid range trim level rental cars. They work, they do what they need to but are nothing special. But instead of looking at it from an unbiased view, let's keep bowing to Toyota for the best truck ever made for any purpose.

All I know is that fucken GMC van has been on the back of a tow truck 4 times in less than 8 months and only has a measly 213,xxx miles on it. Pathetic American made POS. I absolutely do not trust driving it across town at this point.
Neither Toyota has ever seen a tow truck, but they have towed a few others.

A lot of those sales figures factor in fleet sales and corporate sales.

That's why Ford keeps claiming the F-150 is the best selling truck, every year, since 1673.

Also go to most rental car places and the Equinox is their SUV.

What about third gen taco owners whose trucks have been towed back due to blown diffs, cps issues, etc. All with 1/10 of that mileage.

I'd love to see any dispute against what i said against Toyota. Other than "domestics are just bad" from Toyota fanboys.

Progress isn't made by sitting idle, it's made by addressing issues and seeing both sides of the coin. But let the ignorant haters hate.

Stop peeing in my Wheaties! :D

Actually unless Trumpy gets DOT to change their Fleet fuel economy there is a good chance all trucks will have to move to Diesel to meet the DOT Vehicle fleet MPG standard in 2020's

Haha there's nothing to settle... I state pretty indisputable observations, then people put words in my mouth and argue against their forced opinion. Nobody has stated observations or facts against what I've discussed, only assuming and skewing what I've said. Toyota is a decent company who does offer stuff that is decent for this decade. The pickups are not one of those. I'd love for them to get with the times, but until people vote with their wallet, we'll be stuck with what they have offered for decades.

That's the issue with our country and political system. Instead of people understanding other viewpoints (not accepting or following) people double down and hate.
