Doing some research and cost analysis before I buy.

    Questions:
    1. Do the TPMS units switch out with (or match) any pair of wheels?
    2. Does anyone know if there is additional charges for mounting tires on wheels and switching the TPMS units?

    Thanks in advance.

2nd Gen TPMS Sensors will not work on a 3rd Gen Tacoma, and if there is a charge all depends on the garage or place. But none the less they will need to be reprogrammed to your vehicle if they are being broken down from one rim to another.

I'd say if you must have the sensors.....just buy new ones to match the wheels

You'll have to ask the shop you will have doing the work. We don't 'know'. However, for us normal folks, the answer would be yes.

That's why I was feeling around. I don't have a particular shop yet, but when looking around town at deals I saw a shop that charged $200 to switch out the TPMS. Sounds ridiculous to me since it is not that much extra labor, just wanted to know other peoples experiences.
    thanks.
