Have to go to Vegas for work so I'm thinking of hopping over to San Diego for a Dr appt at UCSD then disappearing in Death Valley for a few days...just need to Wife's approval to bail for 5 or so days.

Been through 3 rounds of the shit myself. At least I had 2 forms that are (relatively) easy to treat (prostate and kidney) but I understand just how demoralizing it is to hear the news. Hang in there.. We're all pulling for you. Dig your heals in and say no to this crap.

 

I'm a stubborn motherfucker and didn't listen to the doctor that told me I had a 12-18 month life expectancy when I was diagnosed in 2011. Since then there have been advancements in the treatment options so I'm keeping an optimistic outlook.

The MRIs picked up growth of tumors on my liver and stomach. Waiting to hear if the spot on the backside my stomach is something they can get to surgically and if they are able to resect more of my liver (they took about 1/3 of it out 3 years ago).

With a 1 year old and 2.5 year old, I have a lot to fight for.

 

The kiddos need their dad, you'll pull through this and be stronger on the other side. Once again Fuck Cancer and stay strong.

 

Ordered tires today. Went with 265/75 Duratracs in a load range C again to keep the weight down. Hopefully once these are worn out we will have another tow vehicle and I will feel a little better about going bigger.

Looking forward to getting them mounted on the F5s before I head down to Death Valley. I ordered 5 and will be doing a 5 tire rotation which means I need to live for 7 or so years to get my monies worth. (priorities of a cheap ass)

 

I should add that I'll be getting $150 back on the purchase which almost covers the cost of the 5th tire ($50 from Goodyear and $100 from @Discount Tire Direct for their presidents day sale).

 

The pile of parts is growing. Have a 20" lightbar on the way because if you want to be EAF you have to have lightbars.

 

What kind did you get? I just picked up a 20" also.

 

Just an inexpensive one from Amazon...$30. I I'm going to try to mount it behind the upper grille and I'm concerned it's going to block a lot of the light so wanted to test it out without dropping a bunch of coin.

 

Should be pretty nice in there.

 

I've had some $20 Amazon pods for a year and a half now. No complaints.

 

I was considering a pair of 7" pods to go behind the grille where I highlighted.

 

I was wonder how much light gets blocked by the grill. You should totally do it and let me know what you think.

 

If the light bar in the lower section of the grille doesn't produce the results I'm looking for I'll have to decide on a pair of pods as pictured or a single row in the upper portion of the upper grille.
