I am looking for some kind of rack that will go over my shell. I would like to be able to carry my RRT and have sides of accessories. Like a bed rack just tall. Not my truck just I picture of what I am looking for.

    Great looking truck in pic!

Are you talking about as pictured? That's custom. There are several that mount on the bed rail under the shell but they are typically designed for commercial style caps that don't overhang the bed rail. You will either have to find one that has a drop bracket that comes out from under the shell's lip (or make one) or cut your shell.

    Several examples in here: https://www.realtruck.com/topper-racks/

Yes something like the picture would be nice. I might have to do custom. The ones in the link are not what I am looking for more like a contractors rack. If I have one made I think it being mounted to the slider and bumper would be the way to go.

Agreed on mounting other than on the bed rail. The beds on these trucks are pretty weak to start with and they spread when loaded. I've seen several nice examples where folks designed them to bolt on so that they could be removed when necessary. Here are a couple of examples: http://forum.expeditionportal.com/t...icaragua!/page3?highlight=kayak+rack+security

I really like the way this guys has his fitted together: http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/163411-NoahGenda-s-1997-T100-SR5-overland-build/page4

I'm in the same boat. I have a couple hang ups with this myself and cant seem to find a good solution. I have a topper and need a lumber rack, but hate the typical tubular system that you see on every truck. Which brings me to a custom build, which a shop I know of will build one for me to my design out of 2" square steel, but then comes the thought of having to notch my shell. I know a drop bracket MIGHT be possible to avoid cutting, but it also might not work and then the work to make the custom bracket might be for nothing and the final product would look goofy as hell. I wish there were more options!

Another option would be to build a structure inside of the shell attached to racks on the top. I know there have been a couple examples posted on-line and ARB makes a system that that goes inside of the shell and bolts to the rack on the outside. I found it last night while looking for the dust vent specs but I can't seem to find it today.

I actually thought about that while trying to think out of the box on different solutions. I didnt know a company had done it yet, thats awesome. Thing is, the 4-6 points where you secure the structure through the shell are going to be taking the full load of weight and force, so they'd have to be extremely strong. Its a great idea, but I anticipate carrying 3-500lb loads of lumber sometimes. I might be SOL, but I'm gonna keep looking. Thanks for the heads up!

Anyone know who's truck that is? I need to shake that man's hand and have some hookers sent to his place for a proper BJ.
