You think the 400,000 or so new F150 Ecoboost owners every year know about this? :p

    Stock for. Ow
A turbo timer was one of the 1st things I put on the truck. Plus I always ran the exhaust brake turned on. Supposedly helps keep the turbo from sooting up.

The only thing I can figure is somebody beat the shit out of the truck up to that point and then traded. Lucky me bought their problem child

Composite UCA eh? Well ford went with Composite oil pans on the ecoboost and that is a giant clusterfuck of a failure, wonder how this will be

^I'd expect the ball joint or pivot bushings to wear out first, just like the cheap stamped-steel UCA Toyota uses...

As for Ford, a composite part that is continuously exposed to oil and thermal cycling?

What’s even crazier is, when they go to replace it after it starts leaking within first 500 miles a lot of the time, the “gasket” is a form of glue that has to cure 24 hours before you can put oil in. A lot of owners are having pans replaced 3-4 times before it finally works for short period. They are also 1 time use only pans.

The Rebel with that black grill reminds me of another Italian that prefers red and has a large black thing on his face.

Also Holset supplies all of the OEM turbos on the Cummins.

Leave it to Ford to put in an iron block with a composite oilpan... Of course the drain plug is more like a radiator drain:

With all of the new tech on vehicles, I'm actually thinking seriously about buying a 1st gen Cummins with a manual transmission.
