No it's not.... we were saying start them up again though. Not sure it would help though in today's society.

No lockdowns in East St. Louis schools, but they do have security patrols.

Need to go back to the time when you could have a fist fight with someone you had issues with in school and become best friends the next day.

First week at a new school in 10th grade at a small school, the "bully" pissed me off so bad I told him I was going to kick his *** after school. He ran home and I followed and sat across the street. Next day, he moved to live with his aunt 80 miles away.
Didnt get to make a friend that day. But his older sister developed a crush on me.

Schools are now virtual prisons... at my sons school, at recess they are separated.... meaning all the grades can't play with each other. My son has friends in 4th and 5th grade he cant play with because he is in 3rdo_O:mad:

Had a kid promise to come to my house after school to kick my ass, told him he better roll that back about a half hour because I was hungry and planned to eat first. He didn’t listen and was on my doorstep soon with a heap of other kids while I had a chicken leg in my hand. Lucky shot knocked him out and I never dropped the chicken. Was anxious about it but he apologized later for being a prick and for interrupting my snack. Didn’t become friends, but did learn to tolerate him. Had a few nicknames from that event that lasted the school year.

An armed society is a polite society.

Lets get this right.... they are infamous (famous for the wrong reasons). Our society has blurred the lines of the definition between the two ( famous and infamous)!:annoyed:

There are a number of societies who are unarmed and vastly more polite than most.

I would even argue the most impolite societies are those who are armed, including ours.

Does being armed or not, does that really change how polite or impolite is really.
I suspect that the break down of values in a society makes a bigger difference. The loss of family values etc. is why we see more and more of this

I was only replying to a comment that an armed society is a polite one.
