Does anyone have these headlights?

Oh ok that makes sense.

 

Installation is very easy, it took an hour. Just watch the video posted in this thread. It’s like a puzzle getting them out but manageable. There was a small scuff on one lens, but not enough to deal with trying to return. Came with all bulbs installed (seller said they weren’t, which is strange). The only complaint is the H9 bulbs, there are no decent ones at the auto parts stores near me. I’ll probably just order some.

Sorry, truck is dirty, I wiped the front a little though.

Looks good! I have to wait until it's a little warmer than 0 to do mine. I'm thinking about nicer bulbs too. But who knows, the ones that came with might be just fine. Should be an improvement over the 9003s anyway.

They do seem to be a lot better than stock. I will be adjusting tonight. Probably just to get them even, right is higher than left now.

I ordered some bulb off Amazon yesterday. Should be getting them in tomorrow. I'll post the link for them later. Once I install them Ill post some night shots.

 

Ok pros, I don’t know what I’m doing so let me have it if I’m wrong. I got 25 feet from a wall, and made the cutoff about 4 feet high. The first pic is standing by the truck, second one is from inside, third is high beams.

 

Post some pics on a roadway type setting if you have a chance. I'm real interested in more user pics on how they look as far as actual light output with some distance.

Yea maybe. I have no idea how to set that up though. I didn’t really mess with the horizontal adjustments. I am pretty far from that wall too.

 

There should be another adjuster on the back of the lights looks just like the vertical adjuster.

They still look 20x better than my Depo headlight pattern

 

No there is, I just don’t know the “proper” way to make them. I did mess with it, but stopped and turned them back to where they started.

 

Yeah I don’t know how far apart there supposed to be.

 

25 feet back. 32-36” in height and you want to measure the distance between you headlights, which is 54-55” and match that distance where the direct beam hits the wall so that they are centered properly

 

Yea I did some more reading and need to lower them a bit.

 

What would you guys do here. The vertical scuffs appear to be on the inside of the lens (ignore the dirt, scuff mark is right in the center). Returning stuff is such a pain, and I’m afraid I might get a new one that’s worse. Return or live with it?


Edit: I almost think it could be from the heat of the light itself? It was not noticeable like this until I ran the lights for about an hour last night while aiming them.

 

I would email them and see what they say. Maybe they'll give you some money back instead of returning them? unless you really want to. Never hurts to see what they say.
