Fingers crossed, I added a bunch of felt stick ons today, hoping to no longer have to wedge a piece of cardboard in the crack.

Keep us updated! Mine is at the dealership and they cannot reproduce the sound.... of course.

Blower Motor went out as well though so at least I have that going for me....:annoyed::bananadead::censored:

Will do, might not be driving it until Wednesday. My dealer couldn’t reproduce once, and more recently didn’t have time since I was in the “express” lane for just an oil change and inspection. Thankfully TacomaWorld exists!

After 3 days of testing the rattle is gone! All it took was a few little pieces of felt tape in the right spots. Thanks OP for the tips on removal and placement of felt.

Now the covers of the handle bolts rattle slightly due to the covers being removed twice. Should be an easy fix with more felt tape.

Every time I completed a project on the truck I feel like ripping my face off every time I test drive and then hear a stupid dash squeak I can't get rid of.

Praying it just goes away with warmer weather and I can forget about it till next winter.

I thought for a while I had the rattle coming from the pillar but I noticed if I pushed up on the passenger side sun visor the rattle would stop or lessen greatly. I found this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/roof-liner-rattle-driving-me-crazy.415868/page-2 and ended up cutting out the plastic trim piece that is glued to the headliner noted in the thread. My rattle is completely gone now. The glue separated against the plastic trim at some small areas, this was causing the plastic to rattle against the cold glue. Worth taking a look for some.

I had a clicking above the passenger visor, turned out to be the wiring adhesive touching the roof. Dropped the headliner, covered it all with tesa tape.

I think ********* or OEM+ had one showing how to remove the driver’s side pillar cover. Mostly the same. But it really just involves popping the bolt caps, removing the two bolts and wiggling it free.

Last winter my squeaks were driving me nuts. I'd planned on working on the issue last summer but it didn't happen.

I've now got 25,000 miles on her and no squeaks.

    Relax, let 'em break in.

I'm at about 2.5 years and 28k miles and my passenger dash/a-pillar still sounds like a rattle can on mornings below 50F so not sure about this whole "break-in" idea.

God damn rattle. I’m glad this thread was started and that it’s nothing something I’m imagining. Drives me NUTS. I’ll address it tomorrow through the A pillar/speaker grille and update.

Just unboxed it. Much to come.
I was going crazy over a noise (stereo rattle) ended up being the buttons for the sunroof. They have some back and forth give to them that let them make a lil buzz. Working on a fix.

Try giving the bottom of it a little push. If you hear a click, it should be good.

    Let me know.

Nope, didn’t click for me. Definitely a lot of movement in that corner. Not a fan.

No click for me either. If the toothpick or business cards work as a temporary solution, the felt tape should do the trick. Good luck.

Resolved a few today. The vents on the back wall where rattling a bit from the sub I installed. Pushed the tabs down (three along the top) and pushed the top in a bit. Secured it there a bit of dynamat. No more rattle. Also had a lil bit of rub from my sub. Pulled the hard back off the back off my small seat. Have a good amount of room now and no more rub.

Last I found under the window controls I was getting small vibrations. Pulled driver and passenger side off. Put a few strips of dynamat on the underside of the plastic housing. No more issues.

For me it was the cover to the AC air filter behind the shelf in the glove box
    It was not on right
You have to push it down to lock it in place
It also didn't have any felt on it
It sounded exactly like it was coming from the corner

Maybe take out the shelf and filter door first before you go to all the trouble I did lol
