    Hey guys,
I’m new to the Tacoma World and so far I’m enjoying my new ride! I searched for a post regarding cleaning of the floor mats and couldn’t find anything. I have 2 dogs that shed a good amount so I took the shop vac to town and it barely worked on these plush mats. Anyone else had this issue and if so can you recommend a more effective tool? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Sounds like you need some kind of all weather rubber mats.

I was thinking some kind of special brush or giant lent roller but that’s not a bad idea. I may not have to get rid of the dogs after all. ;)

The carpet and factory mats seem to be impenetrable by even the strongest Of shop vacs. This is some Toyota shit because our highlander is the same way

Crazy thing is I just bought these drill brushes on Amazon for cleaning tile and grout. I’ll try this and then shop vac the stragglers!

    Update*

I decided to go with a weather rubber mat. Has anyone purchased these? If so how are they working out and if you have a link to the best price, that would be great! Any other brand recommendations would be much appreciated too.

I have a GSD, and I've just come to accept the fact that it is a losing battle trying to keep the interior free of dog hair.
