    So....

I think I'm sneaking up on the kazoo noise, but could use some more testers. The kazoo noise is not a wind noise, it is a resonance from the wind (for most of us it is from a strong cross wind), and rather constantly it comes from the 'down wind' side of the truck, so if the wind is hitting the passenger side, the driver's side is where the noise is.

I would like to note that this is not the weatherstrip noise, I have the tubing mod in there from the dealer and have had to go up one size in tube, I have the replacement weatherstrip on order from the new TSB (actually just an extension of an existing TSB really).

I have experimented with a few different ideas to solve the kazoo resonance, so far I have stopped about 80% of it with some small strips of tape between the door frame and the plastic molding that the mirror is attached to ( see photo)thumbnail_IMG_5265.jpg

It is the little blue strip, next I'm planning on a piece below the mirror where it connects to the body, I'm fairly certain that this is where the noise is coming from, something is vibrating in this area.

I'm wondering if anyone else has tried this tape trick, and/or if there are any volunteers that want to try it out and report in on their results....

    Thoughts??
