I have a heated seat kit and was wondering if there is any heated seat wiring I could use? Thanks!

i asked a similar question on the clazzio thread and got no response, I cant find a video or write-up on wiring up the heated seats. I'll figure it out when they get here Wednesday but guidance is always best lol. what did you end up doing?

I purchased this kit off of eBay with Toyota size switches and an integral thermostat.B288A630-9DC0-4473-AD2F-9428551C6D8C.jpgBC511966-1B16-4ABB-B2E1-AC1B48B3E96F.jpg

I haven’t got around to installing it yet, but I’m curious to see if there is switched power under the seat as my truck has a fuse under the dash for it. From the diagram it almost appears it could be plug and play if you had the rest of the OEM parts. If there’s power there I’ll probably tie into it.

I'm looking into Clazzio seat covers right now and according to their website the cigarette lighter circuit has plenty of power for the seat heaters. As always, add an in line fuse.

That’s my back up plan, but I prefer to use the dedicated circuit. My kit requires 2 positives, an illumination circuit, and a ground.

I just checked and the plug is under the seat but not energized. Does anyone have a picture of the factory seat relay and location? Thanks!

after doing some research I'm torn between tapping into the cigarette lighter for power or doing a fuse tap since pulling up the driver door sill is so easy.

Even my dealer uses t taps when they install the kits. What concerns me about adding to another circuit is just how thin gauge most of the wires are in this truck. I’d like to use the seat heater circuit that is already there. I’m trying to decide if I want seat covers or not before I do this.

Any online EWDs yet on these trucks?
