I would just get a separate set of dust caps and keep the ones that came with the lights in tact... or use the ones that came off your stock set of lights and seal them up with silicone maybe? I think a new stock set of dust caps from Toyota are only a couple bucks if you wanna replace your stock ones

Sorry off topic for a second...What LED bar do you have on your roof rack. I have the same rack and I've been looking for a nice bar to fit there.

I redid them, 3 inches lower than their actual height at 25 feet from the wall. The distance apart on the wall is the same as their distance apart on the truck. Someone above suggested that and it seems good.

Thanks for the clarification! Ya I finally figured it out, the LED plug was what was confusing me haha. Got everything to work, however Tacoma Beast advertises the LED light bar to work as the DTRL, when in fact it plugs into the parking light circuit. Kindof a bummer. I will probably try to find an LED for the DTRL to get rid of the ugly bulb.

True on the bump and as a result we keep this thread on top with more people discussing about it. I want to get these and would like more feedback from other people that also have them as well as any issues they are encountering before I commit. Fingers crossed for a late Valentines day gift. :fingerscrossed:

Does anyone have the new all black version with the rounder LED bar installed yet? I see you can order it with a HID kit from tacomabeast , just wondering if anyone has gone that route as well.

So I’ve had these for a week now and they have been awesome so far. Even with standard halogen bulbs the light output is better than stock and the Fitment is spot on. No regrets buying these. Just trying to find some better bulbs without voiding the warranty. I have HID’s but unfortunately they don’t fit because of the different bulb style and the dust cover doesn’t allow for them. So the search continues for led bulbs that don’t require any type of ballest or cooling fan.

I put in some LED H1’s from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06Z...1+led+bulb&dpPl=1&dpID=51akr49bKBL&ref=plSrch) and side by side was horrible lol The halogens had much better light output because they’re, well, halogen projectors haha but I figured that these would work well because they’re a 360 degree bulb, but sadly no...

Maybe these would be better because they’re 8000 lumens https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06X...1+led+bulb&dpPl=1&dpID=515lKnuSSjL&ref=plSrch

I was wondering the same thing.
Everyone is talking about sticking with halogens when there is an option that comes with HID’s for $310.

The best halogen bulbs on the market would probably be best for these projectors. The PIAAs are about $70 and are the best option I have found. I’ll post pics if I get them.

I have the Spyder lights with the flat led running light bar. It comes on with the parking lights, not dtrl. I have not missed them, but it appears you can easily cut and splice the let's power wire to the dtrl wire and have it controlled by that bulb.
