Good info, was going to copy some of this from TrailsLess Traveled but this is good information to share. Also a nice feature, this is a 3row core, unlike the factory single row core. And will be sucked up higher then hanging down below the frame rails.

Yep, Jesse did some cool stuff, along with stretching the truth a tad now and then.;) I'll be watching how these things last over time. There have been others in the past developing cracks/leaks (produced in China). $200 is pretty cheap for this kind of specialty item.

Shameless plug for approach angle possible with a "short core" IFS skid. This one will clear the OE mid size 20 3/4" man trans core.

Stolen shot of a PR/4wd auto trans core "hanging down" (behind the tow hook) and skid profile required to clear it.

    Agreed :D.

Put an order in for one, got the tracking number, so should be shipping out in the next few days or so. Hoping this is a bit better quality than the China stuff (Good reviews from a few hotrod guys, American vehicles, etc. ) so we'll see. Can imagine if this is good, and catches on, this price will jump up as popularity increases, so in whiles its cheap. Ha.
Currently running the 2.7L 20 3/4" w/trans cooler that fits snug into place with the front spring hanger crossmemeber directly below it.

Keeping my fingers crossed. I here ya on the price thing. I kind of wish my OE would at least give at least some kind of hint at failure to more easily justify pulling the trigger. Sure looks to be a great alternative.

So for my 3.4l double cab 4wd, I’ll need to trim the shroud, but everything else should bolt right up? Correct? It’s an auto tranny! Thanks!

I needed to replace mine on my 1995 2.7 4x4 Manual. The replacement was actually a V6 one with trans lines. Apparently they are the same dimensions for my truck. I ordered one from Oreilly's at the time and it didn't match so they pulled out the radiator that says for a V6 and boom it was a perfect fit.

Received mine, looks good from initial inspection. The overall thickness is alot bigger than the factory radiator, which should help cooling by alot.

Will also match very close with my Mark VIII electric fan and simple aluminum shrowd to bridge the small gaps.

Yep, got mine yesterday as well. Ordering the B&M transmission cooler also. Gonna kill two birds with one stone.

Note: For anyone thinking on buying one of these radiators, I ordered the ss hoses w/ the radiator. For some reason I was thinking ss braided hose, it’s more like flexible hose (think metal funnel with flexible hose) Hopefully they’ll return the hose. I’ll just buy some silicone hose instead.

How deep is the radiator and fan together? Just pondering if there is enough space if I remove the OEM fan and clutch assembly.
I'll be ordering one of these next month and contemplating adding a fan to the kit, depending on the clearance,
Looks like a good quality item, looking forward to installing this on my rig.
    Thanks

I got mine off the Ledfoot -champion website for 240. I should have probably gotten it off ebay for cheaper. It looks like they are both just distributors...

Good info,If I went with the champion radiator then I'm guessing I would have to get a 4 banger shroud for my v6 5 speed as the original shroud would be to long?
    My cores height is 20.75"
So the correct shroud would be a 4 banger shroud for the Champion radiator??

I read that as 4wd/prerunner with manual transmission is 20 3/4. However, my 4wd manual transmission is 22 5/8 (measured 23" with it in the truck - I can believe I miss by 3/8", but not by 2").

Does that mean you reversed the measurements, or someone replaced my radiator with a bigger one?

    4wd w/ manual & 2.7L motors typically will have the 20 3/4 core.

In theory but I have no info on other potential issues with the 2wd 4cyl shroud like fan diameter or spacing between fan and rad. Hence reason I mentioned trimming the bottom.

By measuring mine (also 20.75) I could trim the whole bottom or just let it hang down a tad past the core seam and "notch" for the lower hose and the two cooler lines.

Every V6 man trans 1st gen I have seen including mine and @1997tacomav6 (above) came OE with the 20.75 core. Parts houses also describe them this way.
All three sizes will bolt up, bolt pattern is the same. Yours could have been a swap. Does it have the connections on the bottom for the auto trans cooler lines?
