We all make our choices. I don't think I could commute 45 minutes and be happy. I mean, I could do it, but it's not something I have to do. Also kinda crazy to try and save the environment and drive to work 45 minutes one way. Glad it works out for you though. My dad did it growing up and I appreciate the sacrifice he made now.

Nice. I wish I didn’t commute, but I go where the paycheck takes me. Burbs offered better schools for the kids. Now, I do have the retirement home and it’s in a small town.

Put the top on the craft/card table today. Still need to cut out a spot for the two sewing machines. Going to see if I can't borrow a jig saw before buying one. We already played cards on it one night when the top was just resting on it and it was a perfect size.

I couldn't do the commute thing either. I tried for two years and understand why road rage happens. When I lived in Monroe, WA and worked in Seattle I was literally in traffic for 2-4 hours per day. I did that for about 3 months and decided that it was completely asinine to spend so much time sitting in a car (or truck) just getting to and from the thing that pays bills and takes me away from family. Of course my youngest was only 2 at the time, now he's 16 and I don't want to do anything with him(kidding...sometimes)! I transfered to a location in Lake Stevens but even after a year of that commute(20-30 minutes), I was ready to take a pay cut just to come back to Wyoming where the commute is only as long as you make it. I've been happy ever since and would never go back. Stick to your values, G.

I find that a lot of people that grow up around traffic/big cities seem to have no problem with hour plus commuting. It's just part of their life at that point. Its hard to give up that extra hour when you know what it's worth. I think I would be crazy depressed if it took an hour to get home. I do drive 15 minutes to work but that's from one town to another and I see only 2-3 cars the whole time.

I do know a few people here that drive an hour away for work. They decided the trade off to live here is worth it I guess.

It looks like my engine exploded. Oil everywhere, still runs strong but leaking fast. Saying I am over this truck is an understatement. I'd probably sell it to the first person that gave my $5k right now.

I hate you. If I hadn't just bought another taco..Id offer something.

Still. Just because its leaking doesn't mean it exploded. Is there knocking noises?

Exploded was more so to describe how the engine bay looks. It's running fine. Got me to work and will get me home (after I buy some oil).

I just glanced at work after seeing oil all over. The only thing I could tell was it wasn't the valve cover.

I have a dodge cummins to drive but the registration ran out. I can't drive that until legal matters are settled.

I am going to drop it off at the shop tomorrow to locate the leak. I spent a good 10-15 minutes at lunch topping off the oil and looking for it. I'll need to get it cleaned out to spot it. There is a used engine 40 minutes away with 110k for $1900. Might just bite the bullet and drop it in.

that isn't a terrible deal from when i looked at the 2tr motor fs. Is it from a year that emisions stuff is the same. Im not sure how much the 2tr changed over the 2nd gens life but i know the 5vzfe did and so did the 1gr.
