How to Custom Startup and Screen Off

Hey, i did everything correct and all, the only problem I’m having is the image only stays on for a split second. anyone know a fix ?

Anyone done this with a Dead logo? Would love to have this on startup but if someone has already done the legwork on a great version that's on a nice dark background and higher resolution / size I'd love to copy

 

So glad I saw this thread. Now all I need to do is pick out my three images.

 

This only worked for me once I renamed the .jpg to .JPG Not sure why mine needed that change.

If it's not finding the images, you can also try using windows snip tool to create the .JPG.

 

Also - it is NOT necessary to use a BLANK USB stick, unless you had to format it. For most USB sticks you can just add the folders with the right names and put your .jpg images in there and it will pick up.

Fun, easy little project that you will rarely notice in my case, but fun to tinker nonetheless

 

I'm using this pic of my wife on my screen shutoff. I like my women like my drinks; strong.

The one thing which I wish was possible was to have a clock overlay on the shutoff screen. That would be handy.

Nothing to add, but laughed at the temp and seat settings. Mine's exactly the same with the wife sitting passenger most of the time.

 

Need to do this mod.

 

Has anyone figure out a way to change the picture of the Tacoma on the start up of the multi-informational display? I wish I could change that from the SR to the off road model

Ok guys kind of off topic. I am getting a thermal camera ball on my truck for hog hunting, the unit is made by FLIR. Is there any way I can wire up my ball to display what it sees on the screen? I know I can make an a anytime reverse camera mod, why can't I just make a another switch the goes from reverse camer to flir camera??
