I have what is likely an easy question for everybody. I ordered the @CaliRaisedLed bumper light and the corresponding switch. It has been in the box in my truck all week and tomorrow should be a warm day away from work for me to install it.

So I took it out of the box tonight and am looking at the switch. There are 4 small gauge wires coming off the upgraded switch and 3 heavier gauge wires coming off the included switch. Obviously I am going to replace the included switch with the "Bumper Light" switch, but without having done much digging yet, I am wondering about the connections. I was assuming that the upgraded switch would be a direct replacement of the other one, but it is not.

Anybody have any guidance they want to lend me as I spend the rest of my night doing research?

    Many thanks.

I think I found my answer. Kind of disappointing that they couldnt just make the new switch match the wiring harness provided with the light and use the same connector. Also, Im kind of surprised at the difference in the gauge of the wires for the two different switches. The "cheap" switch has significantly more substantial gauged wires than the "upgraded" switch.

Is what it is. Solder it all up tomorrow and slap it together.

Will do. I realized after I got it all done that they sent an amber switch and not the blue one I ordered. So Ill have to redo that. i found a thread on here that discussed what I was dealing with and was able to make it work. I feel like it came out pretty clean. Took the time to solder everything including where I tied in to the dimmer wire for the on/off with the lights.

All in all, Im pleased with the install. Except for the color of the switch. But Ill have to check my order on that before I blame them. I added and removed the item from my cart probably 5 times before I pulled the trigger.

Looks like I ordered the amber switch by accident. So they did right. I did wrong.
