How many owners here use their 3rd gen ( only vehicle)on the weekend in / on / mud, water ,rocks , woods and the unknown , and then still rely on it to get to work on Monday and get the family around day to day .

My truck is my truck. I use it for everything. We also have an '18 Highlander for my wife.

My truck is my only vehicle besides my motorcycles but my gf also has a vehicle. I take it out all the time then go to work in it the next day, but we're recent college grads who don't have families or really anything else to worry about but work, so I'd be much less stressed then alot of people if I messed something up. Then again if I'm buying this kind of truck to begin with I'd be taking it out regardless of my fiscal/family situation. If I wanted a family mall crawler I'd buy a ridgeline lol.

I live a mile from my work. On nice days I ride my bicycle.

I honestly don't NEED a truck, but I do woodworking as a hobby and it's a nice thing to have when going to get materials. That's why I bought the Tacoma instead of a full size. Nice and small. It's pretty practical for an impractical vehicle.

Too many but also not enough mods
Use my truck for everything. Daily driver, haul my tools and parts, drive family and friends and now getting serious about off roading. Getting armor and sliders made now.

I had a mega cab also but I never drove it so I sold it. I drive my truck every dang day and wheel it pretty hard at the ranch and at off-road parks locally. It’s never left me stuck or stranded, knock on wood. Don’t see the need for another vehicle, although I wouldn’t mind having a hot rod.

My truck is mine for the family, trips, work (pool service), offroad, fishing etc... my wife has a 2004 frontier as a grocery getter and take the kid back and forth to school. Both are 2wd because I couldn't justify the extra expense of a 4wd for what is mainly a service vehicle. The Nissan is a mt, which I plan to keep since it doesn't look like they are going to make many MT's with a v6.

I guess I see it totally opposite of you, I find Trucks to be extremely practical, kinda like the Swiss Army Knife of Vehicles.

Do you need to know, or care?
Wife has a 2014 Mazda 3 with 4000KM on it, or about 3000 miles, I prefer to drive my truck. I have 23,000 kms on the Tacoma, we don't commute a lot, so about 15,000 miles.

Saying that, I prefer the truck for the visibility over traffic and just comfort (for me).
