So what I thought was my VSC kicking in was some minor rubbing. Sounded a little like ABS but quieter.[IMG]

Turns out I have NOT successfully reset the VSC after three tries. Turning onto 880 from 580 ramp yesterday scared the heck out of me. Much louder than ABS and jerked the wheel hard. Not scary but startling. No other cars around but I could see if it was a two lane road with oncoming traffic it could have been bad. Each time I reset I think I made an error , like the truck wasn't level, the dog jumped out of the truck when the 2 second reset happens, etc. Going to try again soon, and keep both hands high up on the wheel gripping hard on those sweeping turns. Should I turn off VSC manually til then?

Son installed a 3" lift then I had 17X9 wheels and 285/70R17 put on. Get the traction warning beeper when I turn onto the street from my (paved) driveway, but so far that is all. And only when the truck is 'cold' (first time out in the morning- I tried to replicate it later in the day and nothing) Really don't want it to get squirrelly on the highway though. Should I just let the dealer recalibrate it for peace of mind, or is the above method pretty simple and I should try to talk son into doing that for me as well?

I did it myself but it still went off in turns. I had the dealership do it and it was good to go. May be better to just have them do it.

has anyone done this successfully with a 2015? i can get the ABS light and Traction control light to start blinking slowly, but after i turn the key off and back on to get it to start blinking fast, nothing happens. they just stop blinking. i made sure i was parked on a flat level surface , and i did it while standing outside of the truck to make sure i was perfectly still.

I went to the shop that installed the lift, and they were able to reset the VSC with their OBD-II reader. I think it was more advanced than the one at the tire shop, they tried 6 times. The garage that installed the lift was able to reset it in seconds and first time go. They convinced me to use the reader before building a rig to jump the pins. Are you using a jumper wire or have a switch rigged up? Maybe reach out to Crom, he was the OP

i used hard wire (probably 14 guage)
i can get the two lights to start blinking but when i turn the key off then back on, they just flicker twice and then remain illuminated

@Crom well done Sir. After years of never having a VSC issue, I just encountered it today after replacing my rack and pinion and LCA's over the weekend. I took it to get aligned first, and looked up how to handle it. Enter your thread. Followed the instructions and 5 minutes later I was enjoying my beer I had just opened. Thank you for a very useful post when I've actually needed it.

Last time I had vsc light on only. Did this trick and off it went. Truck will run just fine after doing this. Don’t be afraid it’s very simple process. I’ve had to do it at least 10 times because of various reasons.

Whenever you reset and the slip indicated and the ABS light are blinking faster, do they turn off or is the flashing the indicator that the VSC has reset?
