    Was wondering if there was any guys out there that could give me an idea of sound comparison between a 18 inch magnaflow and a 14 inch magnaflow. Particularly because I was looking at buying either the Magnaflow Offroad Pro #17115 system or just an 18 inch mf muffler (considerably cheaper).

    If you’re looking for increased performance you want to get the exhaust system. If you’re looking for sound then just get the muffler. To me personally trying to make a 6 cylinder sound hot and powerful is a waste. No matter what muffler you put on them they sound like a 6. You’ll never get that deep powerful V8 sound from a 6. It’s kind of like a V6 wanna be V8. The sound pathetic. I think they all sound like crap. I always chuckle when I hear one go by. If you want to spend the time and $$$$ to put in a tuned racing exhaust system then they sound pretty good. Again that is just my personal opinion and I mean no offense to those with 6’s with magnaflow, Flow masters or other similar mufflers.
