Looking to replace the stock tires, need an A/T that can perform in winter conditions.

Have a 2017 SR5 V6 4x4, after a few days with the stock firestones in snow and ice I am about ready to get a better set of tires. I don't want to mess around with having a dedicated set of winters and changing tires twice a year. Just want a solid A/T tire that can perform on ice/snow without being too bad on fuel consumption and road noise.

I know, I'm asking for the world.

So I'm looking at BFG A/T K02s. They're really popular and are rated for extreme snow/ice. They also look great, love the white lettering.

Anyone have experience with these tires in snow/ice? Any other tires you'd recommend as a decent all-year jack-of-all-trades but true master of none tire?

Check out the Cooper Discoverer ATW - it’s basically the same as their AT3, but with more siping, and it’s supposed to do well on ice.

Falken AT3/W is great also comes with the snow rated symbol. I have them and think they are fantastic.

I was pretty satisfied with how my KO2'S handled in the snow. Not much ice but either way they did sufficiently.

The above-mentioned Michelin ltx is probably the better tire for snow and ice though. Maybe not as good off-road though.

Had Nokian Rotiiva ATs really liked them, they have the snowflake rating, low rolling resistance. Michelin defender seems to be available in Canada, all season not all weather and no snowflake rating. Wildpeaks look nice a bit heavier than the nokian, I wonder how they'll perform economy wise.

That’s good man... I was comparing the At3w with KO2s... KO2s are way heavier

My bad, read it wrong haha:facepalm:

KO2s are super bitch to lift, had them for a season in the same size and sold them as soon I got a chance, never again.

The Falken Wildpeaks look awesome on the truck. The tire shop I used brought them in so I could see them with
guarantee I would buy them. Boy I'm glad I did cause they handle awesome and look great on my Tacoma.
