I want to remove 120v 400w outlet and just have a 12v source that I'm able to turn on and off from inside cab with the switch that's there. Anybody know if this is possible. I haven't really looked into it yet to see what's under there. Thanks

Why not just get something like this and have the best of both worlds?

Some people will add a 12 volt plug next to the existing 120 volt outlet.

Thanks guys, I'm sorry I didn't explain it all. I'm trying to run air compressor that's 12 v 18 amp. I want to use stuff that's there as a switch instead of running all new wires to back of truck like I've done before on other Tacoma's. Plug and play doesn't have the amperage I need

Following. Would love to be able to run my pancake air compressor. Unless there is a cool setup somewhere for onboard air that isn't too loud on the truck

Ah! Be sure to put a circuit breaker on that line you are running from the battery!

I used one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-CB185-30-Surface-Mount-Circuit-Breakers/dp/B00DIGK346
