Replaced my driver side needle bearing this weekend, as well as @Bannerman 's. We did well, out and in, in about 3 hours total. we both had to learn on the fly. no issues.

comparison of our 2 bushings. both trucks are 2015.

His truck has about 60K and lifted since 25K, symptoms since lift.

Mine has 102K, lifted since 20K, I did not exhibit symptoms.

His is the lower one in the pic, mine is upper. All trucks are different, and why this does, or does not happen is random to me.

This is a great video, showing the process, and we found this method to remove (and install) the CV axle (5:37) to work great. https://youtu.be/m9W31KGy6k0

Good stuff! It is crazy how the same truck can act so different. My vibes started right after the lift was installed.

Did you make sure you got the the broken lip of the needle bearing out? That normally happens during the removal of the bearing and would be bad if it found its way back into the diff.

Looks like its about time for him to flush his differentials anyways. Good reason to get it done at a 30k interval.

Yeah I did all fluids at 30k, plan to do them all again soon. If I was smarter I would have just done the front diff while I had it apart and with the skid plate off.

I read back through the TSB this morning and I think I incorrectly told you the lip was damaged on the inside (diff side). It was actually damaged on the outside, which makes sense because it is apparently caused by the CV angle change after lifting.

My drive up to Morganton was super smooth this morning, glad not to have to worry about that groan anymore. Tested 4x4 too, no issues.

Yeah, spray it into the air intake at the throttle body, or suck it up with a vacuum tube. Cleans the intake manifold/valves. But it smokes like hell for the couple miles

    It cleans pretty well.

I'm about to run a can through my wife's car before her oil change and another through my truck before my next oil change. Advance Auto have a BOGO 50% off deal.

I will be running 1/3 through intake, 1/3 through gas tank, and 1/3 through oil on my Rover. Then change the oil and spark plugs.
