Under seat sub

Does anyone have any experience with an under seat sub?
Lots of choices out there, but I have an unused Sound Ordnance laying around.

Yep. I’ve run the same one in a single in my pickup and dual in my 03 DC. Both aftermarket systems. They won’t replace a large volume box setup but they do add significant low end punch and volume with minimal impact to cab space. It is on my to-do for the current truck.

 

Interested in replacing my JBL sub with an under the seat unit.

I had a Kicker Hideaway in my WRX, and it was great while not being obnoxious.

 

Interested as well, especially if anyone has experience with any of them. I have no desire to add huge bass or take up any storage but would like at least SOME low end. I am old, not dead.

 

I ran one in my '04, under the driver seat, as part of a complete aftermarket system. I moved it to my '13, also located under the driver seat but coupled with the stock head unit, a line-out-converter, external amp, and aftermarket speakers.

It won't rock the neighborhood, but it does a great job of filling-in the low-end that's frequently missing from door speakers.

 

I have a 2015 and would like to run it but wasnt sure if i need a new head unit.

 

It takes high level inputs if you so desire, or it’ll take RCAs from a line out converter if you decide to go that route.
