Austin Area TW Chapter (all gens welcome, even T4Rs; heck, just make it a Toyota and we're good)

Hey all,

Passing on some information that was just shared with me from my wife. There is a trash clean up event going on this weekend down at the PINS (Padre Island National Seashore) at Big Shell beach which is between mile markers 25 - 30. YETI is coordinating a group to go down there this Friday to help with the clean up. YETI employees who go get that day off counted as a "Day of Service". Unfortunately I cannot get off since I started this new project this week, but my wife is going down and helping organize a team from YETI. I will share more information this afternoon/tomorrow when I get it on exactly what is planned but in years past they provide food / drinks and necessary means for helping collect trash. We did this a couple of years ago and it was estimated that we collected nearly one (1) ton of trash!!!!

If you're interested in volunteering this weekend I can get you more information. YETI i'm sure will be providing lots of cold beverages and probably some stuff to give away but don't quote me on that yet. Many of you know this beach needs some serious help when it comes to clean up. The hurricane this past year really washed up a ton of junk from offshore rigs etc. If you have never been to the PINS, its a lot of fun to drive your rig through the sand! Some spots can get tricky but as long as you're in 4WD you shouldn't have any problems!

Oooh! Access cab 4x4!!!

 

Would match our Red Access cab 4x4... but I think the wife would be mad. our next purchase, vehicle wise, is an old vroom vroom of sorts.

 

212K and filthy inside, for $10K? Must be looking for a sucker.

 

And compared to other prices on some first gens... they'll find one. (was just the first one I found on CL)
