Bought a used Glock 19 for a good price. Took it over to the Glock factory in Smyrna, GA (about a half hour ride for me) and asked them to look it over. Twenty five minutes later, the armorer handed it back to me with all new internal components and a new magazine. No charge. Can't beat that for customer service.

Yeah being close to the factory it's kind of hard to justify buying a new Glock. Two years ago I bought a G23 police trade in for $326 at a LGS. Most of the trade ins have holster wear but barrels are like new. And, most come with night sights. Brought it to Smyrna, they replace everything but the barrel and you walk out with basically a new gun with just a little holster wear. Great deal.

so i've had a handful of glocks over the years. few g19s & g23s in both the gen3 & 4 varieties. i either wind up selling them outright or trading them. I've been carrying a gen3 g19 for the past few years. i also occasionally carry a g43 as well. i do have a larry vickers g19, but i rarely carry it, not that its a unicorn. just that its shit brown.

so anyway. i'm very curious about the gen5, however, that little cutout on the front strap is a deal breaker. its very uncomfortable, and unreasonably sharp. is there any insider information on whether they are going to remedy that?

They made mag base plates for gen2s that filled in that cutout in the front. Might want to look and see if a gen2 base plate fits, and if it does if it's the same cutout.

as much as i love the bullnosed slide, i think i'll stick with the gen 3. pretty solid firearm. me personally, i've never had an issue with any glock, except with a gen4 g23, and that was quickly remedied.

    i debating the sig 320...

The way I see it is, find something that works well for you and stick with it.

Same. I've seen their X Carry variant and it looks like a nice piece. Expensive, but nice.

I love my gen4 g19 especially now that the trigger guard us undercut. I kinda want to get a compact 45 or 10mm now

just did mine the other day. ITS SO MUCH BETTER! im going to completely stipple it next i think.
just shot 200 rounds though mine after getting it back. I have nothing but good things to say. Better trigger, better reset, all good.
