Looking at replacing my auxiliary lights to either of the KC’s mentioned. Does anyone have any night pics of the spread beam? I don’t want the fog lens, my choice will be either the spread or spot. Going back to halogen, ditching the led’s.

Why are you ditching the LEDs for your Aux lights? What are you running now?

Found these on sale and had a coupon, so I wasn't out too much:

I had a pair of 100 watt KC Daylighters years ago and feel like they illuminated the sides of the road better than these. How's the fog light comparison coming along?

Daylighters were some of the best back in the day. KC does have some newer LED products in their Gravity series lights, not inexpensive but you know how the saying goes. They have good specs and low color temp for LEDs (good). @Taylor@KC HiLiTES has been helpful in providing wall beam pattern shots.

Actually working on that project right now, getting the rest of the lights on the rack and heading to the electronics specialty store to put together some kind of switch panel. Spare time has been seriously lacking but I have the holiday off and my other half does not.

Yeah, you get what you pay for. That's why with the Traveller lights I wasn't gonna spend a lot since I hadn't heard anything about them, but for the right price why not try them. And I know buying KC's they're going to last a long time. Or I'll take advantage of the 23 year warranty!

I have some old 150w sealed beam daylighters in the 1st gen classifieds if you’re interested.

Looked up the lights, both the Apollo or Daylighter 100w halogens are going to significantly out produce the KC LEDs. If you went with the 5" 55w halogen Apollos I bet it would be closer to a wash in output comparing to the LEDs.

Where do you plan on mounting them? The Apollos are quite a bit more compact than the Daylighters, which are very deep, though depth of the reflector is good for beam projection.

Don’t want to thread jack more than I already have but no not yet. I post occasional updates in what have you done to your 2nd gen today thread. You can see some other preview in this thread. It will have a dedicated thread when complete.
