i have read and searched a lot and there appears to be a lot of people getting vibrations with the bilstins set at 1,75. And a lot with out. I have a 13 double cab sr5 v6 and was wondering what everyone though should I try the 1.75. Or is the risk to high and I should just go .85. Truck is a daily driver. Tow my side x side on a trailer almost every weekend in the summer and sees some light off road at camp. Thank you all in advance

They get vibrations because the needle bearing in the front diff is not designed for the axle angle change from lifting. When I did 1.75 about 2 months later the vibe started. So when I went to the 3 inch lift I had it changed at the same time.

So at 1.75 I will most likely have a problem? What about .85. Truck has 81k on it

Hard to say all trucks are different, but most likely yes as the OEM bushing is not designed to handle the change.

All trucks are different, just like some trucks don't need new UCA's with a 3 inch lift. And some do.

So from the sounds of it I should either run them on clip one for no problems or just return them when they land ?

I had vibration within the first 200 feet on my test drive after I installed 5100's at 1.75. Even after alignment there was no improvement at all. Engaging four wheel drive eliminated the vibration. This was on a Sunday. The next day I lowered to zero lift and the problem disappeared entirely. At 1.75 I also had a noticeable lean to the rear, negative rake you might say, I didn't like that look at all. Some people have no problems, some just live with it but drive line vibration cannot be good long term. I have to think that Toyota designed that needle bearing play in for some reason as they have not corrected it yet to my knowledge.
They are aware of it now I'm would think.

So what' everyone' thought will have problems at .85. Or should I just send them back.

I have Billies at 1.75 with stock coils and 5100s in the rear. Have had them on for almost 5 years. I don’t think the ride is stiff at all. The truck squats when I hook the boat up so I will be getting dakars, but overall I’m happy with the ride at 1.75

Is there any way to tell what level the 5100s are set at? I just realized the other day that I had them on the front. I know that they aren't set at the bottom two settings, I can see that. But don't know if they are set at 1.75 or 2.50.

BTW, I have vibration in my front and got about 98% of it gone with a road force balance. There is still some at certain speeds, but I still think it is the tires vs stuff we are talking about here. But I don't know for sure.

I have 5100s front and rear set at .85 up front. No issues so far and big improvement over factory shocks.
