    @ARCHIVE

Can you explain the benefits a 14'' shock would have for me over a 12''? I am running the total chaos SUA kit. (right now have stock shock location but need to order a relocation)

Also is the crossbar across the bed a requirement and if not what is the downfall of not having it?

This kit can do both 12" and 14", but the 14" on the SUA setup and trying to basically touch whatever axle bump plate you have on the frame rail requires a new lower/longer axle tab I made and offer.
I just converted my truck to SUA with the Deaver U539/540 HD springs (same as TC). With my new Hammer hangers with 4.9" shackles, I'm getting potential for 13" vertical non-articulated axle travel, that is full droop to axle bump plate contacting factory bump bracket. I really haven't had time to measure it all out yet, and I need to weld in those new lower shock tabs I mentioned.

So the answer to your question is 12" shocks will likely be limiting factor by a little bit, 14" is a better match to the springs/Hammer hangers, but 14" it is definitely a tight squeeze in the SUA configuration and getting big uptravel numbers (which also will probably require trimming stock fenders/fiberglass)

It will also depend on your bump setup, this determines your travel potential. Full droop with the Hammer hangers is right before my stock 4wd driveshaft slip is fully compressed. What I'm saying is droop is maxed out at a measurement of approximately 15" from top of axle tube to bottom of frame rail.

It's not needed. But as a designer, I have to think about the people with roof top tents who jump their trucks. A cross tube could also be bent up that goes forward to bed wall, across and back to other tower plate. Or you could stiffen up the frame by putting a cross bar on the bed floor bolting to the bed mounting bolts, something I should work on.
The towers are strong, and are super solid when just bolted to the bed.

So what offset should our wheel be to not be able to run a spacer? Or is it just fully required to run one?

With 2.5x14" shocks, probably 3" wheel backpacking no spacer.
With 2.5x12" shocks, 3.5" wheel bs might be enough. Also depends on tires

Is this a bolt on kit or is welding needed?

Looking into this kit a bit and have some questions..

For now I would like to add the towers, 2.5x12 Kings with remote Resi's (no bypasses), King bump stops, and a u-bolt flip kit. (Time being, I'll be running my stock leaf springs and hangers).

Will I still need to run wheel spacers to clear the shocks even without bypasses? I have aftermarket wheels with 4.3" BS.

Will I need anything else to make this set up work? Maybe limit straps?

Later on I have the intention of upgrading from this set up and convert to SUA, hammer hangers, and possibly add 2.5x14 2 tube Kings. With that in mind, is there anything else I should consider for the time being or any insight to my plan?

I think your initial plan is good but I'd try to buy shocks once. Yes, you definitely have to run spacers with 4.3" BS. The stock springs are stuck at about 10" travel, so I'd say put the Hammer hangers on with stock springs and get the ride improvement there first as a foundation, and if you need to wait on the relocation until you're ready for your shock end game, but if you're going to drop coin on shocks for stock location, you might as well spend about the same on relocation.

This relocation kit works with any springs, but stock springs are stuck around 10" travel due to low arch. These let you fit universal 2.5" shocks to damp the rear better.

If you want to keep stock springs for now and get a more controlled, comfortable rear end that will follow your front, my Hammer hangers are great for ride quality. They noticeably reduce the chatter/twitchiness you probably are feeling out back. They have surprised a lot of customers, I loved the ride with stock springs and Hammer hangers on my truck.

Do you know if you are able to utilize a Fox 3.0 3 tube Bypass? Or is that too large of a shock?

3.0 bypass is likely too large for the tower and overkill for a Tacoma I believe.

That said, I think a 3.0 smooth body remote reservoir would fit, I had it in mind when designing the towers. Probably overkill, but yeah I like the idea of overkill as well :)
