I would like to get a cover, but which one has the best fit/finish and company that stands by their product? I am worried about the Arizona sun particularly.

Right now I am torn between

    BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover,
    BAKFlip FiberMax Tonneau Cover,

OK narrowed it down - BAKFlip

Now Fiber or Aluminum - What is the weight difference between them and which will hold up best in the Arizona sun?

Great question! If you are located in Arizona, you would HANDS DOWN want to go with the Aluminum. The MX4 features a matte black finish and will handle the sun and extreme heat a lot better than Fiberglass would. The MX4 also has the ability to support up to 400 lbs. across the top, has the 3-Year warranty and also the upgraded tailgate seal to where you can operate your tailgate without having to mess with your cover.

    Hope this helps!

I was also set on the BAKFlip MX4 until I went to the local topper dealer today and saw the new Leer Trilogy X2T. It's seems pretty slick. Now I'm back to more research...

Can't go wrong with a Bakflip. Expensive yet sturdy.

I might go with the hardback tonneau from the dealership when I buy mine initially and upgrade to the diamondback one later. The one that Mike from LLOD has looks really nice on his tacoma.

A contractor buddy has a diamondback and loves it. Practical for moving building materials ect... top and bottom.

Note: adds lots of weight hence lower payload but very secure and nearly indestructible!

How much weight does it add? It didnt sound like the one mike on LLOD has weighed more than 100 lbs total.

I was looking into a diamondback myself for my 2018 DCOR. The SE model is around 70-75 lbs if I remember correctly. I am still trying to decide whether to go for the cover or not. One big plug is the straight forward installation with no drilling required.

It looks like we have similar tastes. Just installed my Diamondback SE on my 2018 cement DCOR! Also installed the bedrack from KB Voodoo for tonneau covers 20180303_081706.jpg 20180303_081442.jpg
