For all those doing it yourself, disconnect the sway bar on both sides at the beginning of the installation when the suspension is fully extended and equal. Then reconnect at the end of the installation when it is fully extended and equal again. This way is really easy.

    Looking forward to the video.

You didn’t replace the needle bearing did you? Any particular reason?

I saw somewhere in the 2G forum that that the kit comes with new front bumpstops. Is that true?

I believe that's the Baja kit, not the pro kit.

    Correct,

Here is the part number and size comparison for the Baja bumps if anyone wants them.

i did not. my understanding is it's likely to go out being a 2 inch lift and I didn't want to be any more angry working on that. lol.

8 hours was enough for me.

What's the ride like/difference on your OR compared to stock. I have a '15 TRD OR is why I ask.

It's noticeably firmer, but handles a lot better and absorbs bumps and potholes pretty well.

Right on. I’ve got the parts needed for the replacement in hand. Just not sure I want to tackle it. My truck has less than 6k miles, so I’m tempted to let it go and let Toyota replace it while it’s under warranty (assuming they’ll honor the warranty post suspension mod).

I ordered the parts from my dealer today; should be here tomorrow, but my dealer will not do the install even though they are Toyota parts. I am going to talk to the aftermarket manager and see who he recommends (have known him for years), or I am going to call another dealer (my wife's uncle has been a mechanic there for 30+ years) that has done lifts for new Taco's and see what they have to say.

I was referring to the ECGS parts/install. I’m undecided if I’m going to install the replacement now, or see if the factory part fails and let Toyota put in a replacement under warranty.

As for the suspension, I have the kit on hand as well. I installed the rear shocks Sunday evening. I’ll be installing the front coilovers and HS AAL this weekend with a few locals.

Due to the new tsb on the bearing, I'm gonna hold off and see how it goes. If it goes out, I'll just risk it getting warranty with a lift. Or just put my stock stuff back on and take it in. If all else fails, I will then get the bushing.

Anyone here have Toyota cover the TSB for them but install the ECGS bushing instead of just a new needle bearing?

    Question:
Cheapest place to order the from now?

And how big of a tire size do you think we can get away with upgrading to this suspension? I have 265 70 17 K02s now.

I may have sourced a pro fox setup, so my new pro bilstein setup may be up for grabs if i am able to secure it.
