Cresting a hill and turning to the right, it is impossible to see what the fuck is in front of you with a non scooped hood. It can only be worse with a scoop. There is a reason why a front cam is a popular mod. You ain't wrong.

    Features and Benefits.

The Sport scoop is non-functional; Locker is functional.

17" rims would have been nice, but I chose the Off Road, better value.

Biggest difference will be the ride quality in my opinion. A back to back test drive should be done to see which ride you like better and go from there.

OR also has a bigger rear end from what I understand 8.75" vs 8"

I'm going with the sport because it's the only model I can get in 4x4,access cab and manual but plan on a lift any ways so the cheaper shocks don't bother me.

I can still do a ARB locker in the future with a sport rear end, correct?

Must one of those mismatched sticker trucks, Offroad on one side, Sport on the other.

All I hear from OR owners on TW is "got the locker but never had to use it".

Who's got the locker where they were stuck using 4x4 lo and couldn't get out in 4x4 but was saved by the locker?

I see members on this site buying the Sport, and then changing out the suspension to Off-Road. Now they don't have a Rear Locker or Crawl Control. Was a no brainer for me. Especially since they are pretty close in price.

Yeah might be easier to find parts for the 8”. It’s been available domestically longer.

Would you rather have it and not need it? Or not have it and need it? Who cares what you "hear" from others.

Or get an Off-Road and convince the dealer to swap the wheels off a Sport. :bananadance:

Quit it with the obscured view with the scoop...just stop. Everyone acts like it sticks out of the hood like a damn walrus or something.

OP...drive each, evaluate what you like and don't like. Choose which meets your needs more appropriately, and make an informed decision. Good luck with your decision, and post up pics when you choose!

Look at how CRAZY that scoop sticks up like the rocky mountains!

When the OP sits in it, he can decide. I drove a few with scoops, hated it and decided I was going to get more useful items in the OR for the same amount of money as the Sport.

    You stop kidding yourself.....

You like posting pictures? why not post a few from the driver's point of view if you want to prove your point as I will happily post one of the view from my scoopless OR.

I've spent <1 week with my new Sport. Gotta say, I love the way the suspension handles the winding roads where I am. I still have mixed feelings about going with the Sport vs the Off-road. But the Off-road is not offered in an access cab with a manual transmission . For me it came down to having a locker vs manual transmission and the MT won out.

Since they have the exact same MSRP the OR seems like a better deal.
