Thanks for the inputs, this is how it currently stands:

    Amplifier
    2-Way Component
    Mount Adapter
    Harness/Speaker Wire
    Monster Cable S16-4 XLN
    Power/Ground Cable
    Circuit Protection
    Bussmann CB185-50
    Sound Deadening

    82998-12340 JPN

    Cable Loss Estimator
I planned to use the shielded 16/4 Monster Cable from the head unit to amp, but with only .17dB loss @ 10 ft I was able to use it for speaker wire too (30 ft in total).

The Kolossus Fleks Kable is really high quality; 8 ft is enough to route from battery to driver’s seat.

The Noico sound deadener works well. I used 12 sq ft to nearly cover the entire outer skin and half coverage on the inner panel of both doors.

I have every intention of adding MLV and likely a Hertz ES F25.5 10” subwoofer in the near future.

If that amp was only running the door speakers you'd be fine with 8 gauge. If you EVER plan to run a sub on that 5th channel I would recommend going with 4 Gauge. Don't cheap out and get skinny wire.

I installed a few subs when I was younger, 10-15 years ago, but I’ve never replaced the OEM speakers.

On the LC2i, do I stuff both speaker wires into the input or just the larger speaker?

Would it be best to use the included crossovers or only use the amp? I feel I can’t go wrong with the crossovers.

For the LC2i input, I believe both the woofer and the tweeter (it's really a small mid) are getting full range signals from the headunit. I know the tweeter has a capacitor on it to cross it over but the woofer is running full range to my knowledge. So either use the left and right woofer wires OR use the left and right tweeter wires.

Absolutely use the included crossovers. Unless you really know what you're doing it's not a good idea to stray from the crossovers that come with the component speakers.

Plus that amp wiring kit seems grossly overpriced for what it is. I'd buy the individual components from knukonceptz. In addition to being a good bit cheaper, the knu 4 ga is rated at 150A with its higher strand count. Hard to beat knu when it comes to this stuff. RCAs too. I'd get all my cabling from them (and do).

And do you really need the LOC? That amp has high level inputs.

Good call on that! I didn't notice the amp already had it built in. Definitely ditch the LOC and just use the one built into the amp. Way better in that case. Simplifies the wiring a TON. Plus, you won't even need RCAs in that case so you can save a bit there too.

Yeah I caught that yesterday and updated the list on my build thread, didn’t get around to this one.
That Kicker kit is only ~$65 on Amazon; is your suggested kit OFC?

Yep...the Kolussus kable is...which I meant to recommend earlier. $65 sounds much more like it. Most of that kit is Stinger & they make good stuff. Not as good as Knu IMO, but shouldn't let you down.

Yes, good catch on the RCAs Stylion.

I guess I didn't realize knu sold kits. $50 for a Kolossus kit with RCAs and speaker cable. Might need a little more speaker cable & 12 ga is a bit overkill, but will work just fine.

Been a while since I did this (about 8 years) but you can just measure with a measuring tape what you plan to do and plan from there. Don't forget the floors. No deadening needed but you'll want to MLV with a layer of foam for them.

I did find my deadening tutorial in the stickies at the top of this forum. Have a look through there.

    Sub
    Hertz ES F25.5 10”

    Enclosure
    Bbox E10ST
    Binding Post
    Pixnor 45mm
    Speaker Wire
    KnuKonceptz Karma SS 10ga

The binding post will not accept 10ga so I upgraded that.
I used tee nuts/socket head bolts to secure the woofer to the enclosure. Hertz supplied a seal, so I traced around the woofer with a razor and removed the carpet to get a good seal.

    Mount to back wall
I epoxied two bindings to the back side of two holes which were already in the support; I bolted them in place.

I positioned the enclosure over the bolt heads and pressed it against the bolt heads, making indentations in the enclosure carpet- I then drilled holes at the indentations (did the same for the wall carpet).
    A0218EBB-FBC9-4863-A037-B307522CD054.jpg

I epoxied inserts in the enclosure holes, to keep the bolts from damaging the MDF over time. After the epoxy set 24hrs, I removed the bolts and installed the enclosure; I put neoprene washers between the flat washer and MDF.

The enclosure almost looks like it was custom made for the truck, it fits between the plastic perfectly.
