    Awesome, I might try something similar...I like repurposing stuff like this. There was a huge army surplus sale in downtown about a year ago and I got some great army canvas bags that work well for recovery equipment in the truck.

    What kind of clamp is that holding your fire extinguisher in the first pic? I use hose clamps on mine right now but they aren't exactly good for getting the extinguisher off in an emergency...

    The clamp came with the extinguisher. Bought it Costco, but I'm not seeing it on their website. I reused the clamp to hold it in the new location. It's a pretty good clamp. Has three screws that hold the clamp down, and there is a collar that clamps the neck. Then, a quick release strap goes around the canister. It isn't quite strong enough to hold it level when mounted horizontally, but holds it perfectly in the new spot.
