Looking to see if anyone could recommend a detail shop that does ceramic coating. Specifically around LA, IE, or OC area. For those that have ceramic coating, what brand did you get and what is the warranty? How much did it cost, and is there an annual maintenance fee? Impressions?

I've been researching into the common brands and the pros/cons, and have finally decided that in the end it is worth it based on my time and preference. I've seen coatings offered between $500-$2,000 depending on paint corrections and warranty level. I know ceramic coating is not bullet proof, but I figured I could go for one that isn't life time warranty and get it reapplied every 5-7 years afterwards to get paint correction redone and keep cost relatively low without any annual maintenance fee.

I dropped my truck off yesterday at Aerowerkz, and am getting the ceramic pro silver package and clear bra’d front end. Should be done by this weekend, from which I’ll post an update

Awesome, how much are they quoting you? What made you go with them versus another shop?

Their silver package was quoted $1100 which is lower than their regular price since I opted only for the coating on the paint areas; no coating on any of the plastics or glass. I went with them based on some friends that knew of them and when I went in person, the owner (Phillip) was very thorough on what they do and how they do it. They let you walk around their shop while waiting and are very open about their work area. There was a La Ferrari, and a Lamborghini there when I dropped it off so I imagine they are used to doing jobs to the utmost detail. But we’ll see when I pick my truck up *crosses fingers*

Bright Side detailing is a buddy of mine’s company and he does it. Based out of San Diego though. I’ve worked with the product he uses in person and it’s amazing stuff. He’s been through a lot of different products and has finally found the one that holds up to its claims.

Like you said, price is based on amount of time getting the paint dialed in but if you want more info, send me a DM.

Just picked up my truck earlier today. Paint looks better than when I first got the truck. But as far as the ceramic coating, only time will tell how well it will last. But for the shop itself, I recommend them, they are incredibly helpful and informative if you give them a call or go in person.
