Finally, I pulled the trigger on getting a 2017 Tacoma Sport DCSB 4x4 with Manual transmission. I am already an existing truck owner as I have 2011 Nissan Armada. I test drove an auto transmission Tacoma and most of us know the issues with that. It takes time to learn your driving etc but even then the gearing an tuning make the truck feel so underpowered and unresponsive at times. The manual is a beast and feels much more responsive. :yay:
I went with Silver metallic. They were able to find one couple of states away and bring it in for me. I know 2018s are out but of course in my state those are tougher to negotiate upon from a financing standpoint. I paid 34.5K + taxes + dmv fees and 0% apr (3k down pmt). I really don't care about the new standard feature of bling spot detection in 2018 & other than that I don't see much difference. I have not had the chance to take clear/detailed photos yet but have couple from the dealer lot. See attachments.

I'd like get some advice from folks with a 3rd gen regarding the bed cover as it didn't come with one. I am looking for something decent but low cost as I want to save some of the funds for other necessary upgrades/accessories for the truck. I am searching around the forum and noticing some folks using MX4 but I think it is a little too pricey. Looking forward to getting some feedback and any other recommendations/customizations that are worth it. I might do a URD short throw shifter as I see some good reviews about it.:)

Congrats on the truck and welcome! As for bed covers I have one of the cheap Tyger ones of fun of Amazon. Think it was around $200, doesn’t leak and fits ok. Can’t ask for a whole lot more for the price point.

Get an Access Original roll up tonneau cover. You won't be disappointed.

De-badged the truck while it is still fresh.
I may upgrade to a TRD Pro grill down the line but for now original grill has been plasti-dipped.

Another vote for the truxedo lo pro here. Really nice roll up. Super easy installation, instant full access to bed, and a lifetime warranty.

    Welcome aboard.

My wife and I both traded our Nissans last October and bought new Toyotas.

I like the factory grills on those Sports, too.

    You'll love that truck.

Congrats! I'm actually in the same boat, wanting to pull the trigger on a sport or off road. How did you get 0% financing??

Because I bought a leftover 2017 M/T in early 2018. Toyota's website shows 0.9% for 2017s now. I guess the previous promo is over.
