I'm still not used to these 10k oil changes....

My service required light recently came on for my 15 Camry, indicating I have driven another 5,000 miles. I am not going to the dealer for the 5k service though, because they just check fluids and rotate tires. However, I did check my oil level just to make sure I am not low. Oil level was good, but man, the oil felt sooooo thin. I know the 0w20 is good for 10,000 miles, but I have the urge to change it. For 5k miles the oil did look fine in color.

 

^You are in CT? Don't worry, your floorpan and fenderwells will rust out long before the engine reaches end-of-life.

 

I change my 16 Taco every 5k. For $25 and 1 hour of my time its hard to take the chance.
