 not any time soon, I just like to shop before I need something. then when the time comes, all the research is done, I just have to pull the trigger. as u can see in some pictures my rear bumper is in bad shape hahaha not sure what I'm going to do yet. HC w/Swing out would be bad ass but that's some serious $$ and do I really need one? I only wheel a few times a summer so I cant justify it at this point. I find swingouts with spare tire look really weird if you don't have a cap or a bed rack haha so we will see where things go. it certainly will not be happening this year. I want to get a Prinsu first. which means I will need a Pelican case to go onto, and traction boards, and recovery gear to fill the box hahaha

oh good god hahaha 285's for suree, but if I were to go SCS I think I would get the Stealth6's. I would love me some TC LCA's tho! and some hydro bumps, just to make sure I was the coolest kid at the mall! hahaha but my budget will be settling for some Mickey Thompson Classic's

How I added an extra bed rail:

So I will start off by saying that I certainly made some mistakes along the way.

I have a Bakflip Fibermax Tonneau cover which mounts to my OEM rails. I purchased this rail off a fellow member because I wanted somewhere to hang my fishing rod and shovel.

    So here it goes.

I purchased some 1/4 aluminum rivnuts as well as some stainless steel 1/4 bolts that are approximately 1" in length. I made sure they had a tapered head on them to allow me to slide in some T slot nuts for mounting purposes.

    20180221_182059.jpg

Make sure u measure everything out before hand so you do not end up with a bunch of holes in the side of ur bed like I do hahaha I had extra end caps and wanted to incorporate those into the install. I wanted to install it on the passenger side between the cubby and the rear most portion of the bed. To make sure u have room for the end cap, leave at least 1" of space away from the cubby and 1" before the bed side tapers outward. My rail ended up being 30" long. When u make ur cut, keep it as straight as possible so the end cap stays in place and also make sure ur cut line end up on the thick part of the inside lip. If u look in the following picture, I can see that on the inside of the rail, there is a lip that has both fat and skinnier section. If u cut it on a skinny section the end cap will not stay inside the rail.

    20180222_144649.jpg

Once everything is cut, file the end and paint the exposed metal.

Pick the desired height at which u would like the rail to be positioned. I chose Bout 1" below the tonneau cover rails.

    20180222_145931.jpg

Hold it in place and mark the far left hole with white out. Sharpie will work, but white out stands out more on a black bed. I do not know the required hole size for these rivnuts, I just drilled a whole with a bit I had laying around. Since the bed is composite, it is easy enough to round out the hole as needed.

To install the rivnuts I just used a bolt, a nut and some washers. The bolt is 1/4" and 1.5" long with a 7/16 head on it. The nut is 5/16 because u want it to spin freely around the bolt. And I placed 2 washers on either side of the nut. I have a 1/4 drive adapter for my drill that allows me to mount a socket on the end. I followed this video on how to install the rivnuts

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cel7FllhxJM

    20180221_183759.jpg

Once u have that one rivnut in place, mount the rail up in position with the bolt to help hold the left side up as u mark out the remaining two holes. Repeat the rivnut installation and then u are ready to install the bed rail. If u plan on removing the rail for any modification I do not recommend putting loctite on the bolts. When u go to remove the bolt u WILL spin the rivnut in the hole rendering it useless.
