After driving 10 to 15 miles I can touch the drum, but can't keep my fingers on it. It caught my attention because when I get out of the truck I smell brake.

Sounds fairly normal. Friction makes heat. Now if you throw water on it and it sizzles that’s a bit hot

Welcome to TW! Brakes get hot, but the smell might be something to worry about.

When I pulled the drum off everything looked good, Clean and very little dust. The brakes feel fine. I bought the truck new 3 1/2 yrs ago and never noticed the smell before. After putting the drum back on no problems.
