If you guys want to take your laptop with you there is a free full version techstream available that logs enhanced PIDs at a fast rate.

The OBD phone apps have way too much delay in packet capture

    Hey Matt

I just let the truck cool off for 2 hrs. I cold started and ran for 5 mins. If I let the clutch out with very little throttle like normal the truck will literally buck hard. The rpms go up and down like 800 to 1200. What is causing this? It does this unless I feather the throttle and take off. When the truck is fully warmed it doesnt do this. 103 didnt do this at all - any ideas?

One really weird thing I have noticed with my truck since new and stock or any tune is when I rev it up in neutral with out pushing in the clutch the rev up is slow and not quick, very delayed. When the clutch pedal is pushed in the truck revs super quick or like normal vehicle should. Is this a Toyota thing and has anyone else noticed this?

there are throttle maps for every gear, and even reverse, but not nuetral.

I think if I can get a manual truck again for a day I can resolve everything

Ok on my way to work forgot to start truck (remote start)what I will do is rev engine 15to2200 rpm standing for worm up -1cel deg
Noticed surging not at idle but from touching throttle to aprox 2500 rpm.surging slow down then stop after full warmup,at least from what was visable from rpm needle.
Any thing else for me at this point seems minor and or not repeatable.

Any link/details you can share on this? I had a version downloaded but it seemed buggy so I removed it a few months ago

I love the tune. I have had every version since 1.01. I'm not noticing any of the shuddering etc. that you guys are experiencing but if it's a real thing and Matt can fix it great. The throttle is more jumpy and I do have to modify my driving style a little bit but I would rather deal with that instead of dealing with a sluggish truck. 2016 04b11 91 tune FWIW

Modded it so much it turned into a 4Runner
Mine has toned down after 2 tanks of gas and about 400 miles. The surging in 3rd gear is slight but not as bad as it was initially.

im 04B10 and I have experienced a little bit of stuttering. Its honestly at the point where I would accept it as a 'normal driving characteristic' but it definitely has room for refinement at part throttle. Light years better than before, sure. No stutter at full throttle either, just when accelerating and using only a little bit of throttle there will be times where it feels like the truck falls on its face a little bit.

Again, overall 1.03B is still a huge improvement, but there is room for even more improvement in some places

Got my activation key today! I know what I'm doing after work. I'll go for a good drive and offer some feedback later tonight on initial impressions.

Looks like around 400 miles is the magic number since this makes two of us so far. The rest of you need do more driving and report back. It’s friday so take a weekend road trip!

It would be nice to know why this has improved after 400 miles. Is it the driver adjusting or something else like richening the mixture which softens changes in acceleration?
