    Toytec lift
...It has DAC and Locking Diff buttons, so I take it to be a TRD Off Road...plus chrome bumper and grill surround, fog lights, other little stuff that seems consistent with TRD Off Road

It has a modest Toytec lift and 285s.

How can I tell which engine? If I understand correctly, the V6s had a 3.5 or 4.0 liter option. The cover just has the VVT-i V6 badging...nothing else I noticed at a glance.

    Thanks.

    It's a 2014, you have the 4.0L V6.

The 3.5L engine didn't get phased into the Tacomas until the 3rd gen started in 2016.

I guess the emissions decal under the hood, and/or the owner's manual are missing?

Thanks. I looked at the tag under the hood and didn't see anything clear as to liters; likewise the manual seems to cover multiple models. I could easily have missed it.

Yes. A-trac button there, DAC and locker buttons left of wheel.

    So we've established it's a TRD Off Road w/a4.0 V6.

    Most people don't.

OP you do indeed have the 4L V6, it is known as the 1GR-FE, it is the single VVT-i version which was the only variant available for the taco.

Hopefully you paid non TRD Off Road pricing and got a real deal, especially with a lift and 33s.

@markch welcome to TW. Hang onto your wallet. This place creates a vacuum aimed directly at it. Lol
    Nice find. Enjoy.
