The pics of the rough sections are in the upper part of Berdoo cyn. My buddy didn't want to take his truck down any further so he an I went down in my truck another 1/4 mi till it got real narrow then came back up. Not sure about the DV journal but I was there early Apr 2016?

Okay, looking at GE I see where your talking about. Looks like rain in JT fri & sat and that canyon is a large drainage. So I might have to figure something else or gird my loins and monitor NWS Doppler before I head up. Thanks again.

Ah okay. I'm sure you'd remember signing in at the cabin.

Haha! yeah those pictures of that expo van & trailer on one of DV forums a few years back, stuck to the top of the wheel-wells coming down Steel Pass. And I was all :nope.
Dude never was able to find half the shit on his trailer.

Experienced my first desert flash flood this year. In 8 minutes, completely dry to a 8ft x 20ft wall of water. It's no joke.

Yeah we got slammed in Palm Springs. 6" of standing water in the vacation complex the husband and wife's parents rented... Historically flooding according to the landlord.

I headed up Berdoo about an hour of posting that last message. I had to spot a group of college students down the rough part of Berdoo in their rented stock 2x4 Dodge Ram. They were extremely appreciated with me being there. But the Canyon was pretty tame. Any 4x4 could make it up with decent spotting, and no sign of running water down the Canyon.... I guess this time of year that trail is well used with a plenty of rocks stacked. But shit can change quickly.

I spent the early afternoon making sure we could get 20 people in two 4x2 rental vans into Queen valley and successfully get to the pre-planned hitching spot...

Got dumped on at about 1:30 as the storm passed from E to W through Queen Valley. The storm appeared not to saturate the soil there so I headed out through the park to the Cottonwood exit to the 10.
As I was nearing Ryan CG it dumped easily 2" by the time I passed the CG. 3" of standing water on the road, 10-12" on the sloping area's of the roadway. By the time I hit Jumbo Rocks no sign of water and it was sunny.

We headed into 29 Palms through the Utah Trail N. Entrance then into Queen Valley. I underestimated the storm. Major flooding on the NW side of the park. The first two water crossings into QV were 20" and 28" respectively. There were two WC ahead and too risky to get these vans in.

So a new hitching spot was decided. And it couldn't of gone ANY better. These folks are from the mid west and this was an adventure these folks will NEVER forget.

Again, sorry @HB Taco for cluttering up your thread.
