    I just joined up today. I have a 2010 Tacoma SR5 4x4 with 4.0 L engine/auto. I have viewed forum a few times as a guest. I have an issue with a noisy accessory up front. I have replaced belt and tensioner just a couple months ago and now am getting a growling whining noise which varies with RPM. Everything is working fine but the noise drives me crazy I don't want the truck to sound like a 1920 Ford. I suspected the alternator at first because the noise sounds like a bearing on the way out but after meeting with my friend who works for Lexus (He is a salesman now but former mechanic) I am suspecting that it is the power steering pump. My friend says he would leave it alone until something stops working and possibly flush the fluid. I don't know if there is a filter? My friend also suggests to use the Toyota fluid. I have read a few posts on the subject but I haven't found the definitive answer. Does anybody have an update? Thanks Greg
