    hi all,

i have a new Bud Built traction bar for my 2017 Tacoma 4x4. it's the weld-on version and comes with complete hardware and bracketing. my normal mod shop who does racecars decided not to install this because their welder isn't strong enough for this job.

i need a stronger welder, but also someone knowledgeable enough about where and how to weld it... someone who has an eye for suspension setup. the trac bar's mount point sits about the same area as one side of my aftermarket rear sway bar's mount points, so i am looking for someone who can take a look and know what to do.

any suggestions? looking for something more specific than a general shop referral if possible, but i'm open to anything you can suggest. thank you!

If you feel like taking a trip a little North West of ATX, I can weld you up. Then you can go play at Hidden Falls afterward.

They build racecars but can't mount/weld traction bars?

    Sounds sketchy to me.

haha, they're not sketchy. they are a hardcore Subaru performance shop and do almost exclusively custom built racecars & street racers. they have their own dyno and all that, but no trucks, never ever any trucks. i'm the only one and we joke about it all the time. they installed my UCA's on the Taco and a ton of other stuff on my old Subie and VW. i use them still cus they are great, but mainly now because they are across the street where my setup guy and his Hunter rack are located. i am not one who trusts easily, so i stick with the ones i know.
