I just picked up an 88 x cab 22re from a buddy. The motor needs to be redone and when it went he kicked in front drivers fender and drivers door. Easily replaceable. I’m found a fender and door locally for about 100 bucks total but my main concern is the motor. I’ve done solid axle swaps, full on lift kits, timing chains on interference motors, turbo kits, if I get deck spec’d and head rebuilt how hard is it to put it back together with new rebuild kit?
My plans are to either find replacement bed sides, paint it, solid axle swap and new motor and run it daily.

I was watching this to get some tips when beginning the process of rebuilding a 3.4. I ended up swapping in a newer one for the time being, but my plan is still to build one over time.
