Easy peasy, install your grille lights....connect all the grounds together and run them to the ground next to the battery......buy you an Add A Circuit from the Auto parts store and a 3A fuse for the Add a Circuit. Open the fuse panel under the hood and locate the fuse for running lights ( not sure of exact terminology....could be labeled as taillights) unplug the fuse and plug in your Add a Circuit. Install the original fuse in the original slot and the new fuse on the new circuit side. Then run your power wire from all lights and tie it to that whip on the Add a circuit.

Sounds like a lot but buy the Add a circuit and it’ll make more sense once you see it. I’ll try and find pics of mine to post on here too

I’m trying to wire these also and there is a DRL fuse under the hood but im unsure if tapping into that will work. During the day I assume it would, but when the headlights are on, I think the DRL’s dim? Would the grill lights still illuminate under this condition. Reading a few threads it doesn’t seem anyone is tapping into the DRL fuse but instead splicing into the side markers.

...only problem is that DRL does not have a fuse , it runs of the relay. Need splicing into the circuit...

585C4440-D343-4DBE-AD56-2C25FD456F57.jpg Just tap the parking light on the drivers side...purple wire is positive and white wire is negative...the parking lights come on with the DRL anyway and these wires are already fused from factory this is the easiest solution.

I show my DRL on a 10a fuse in the main fuse box? I’m new to this also but maybe I’m missing something?

That fuse feeds DRL relay and has a constant power. Your lights will be on all the time. See the file

This is true. There is another post with a ton of info on these lights. I tried the add a fuse to the 10 amp DRL. The lights never turned off. If your goal is to have your grille lights on when your truck is on, use the INJ fuse (10 amp). The lights come on when truck is on and off when truck is off. Or, use headlight fuse if you want grille lights on with headlights only. Check out the other thread. Good luck.

So that works with the DRL? Where did you plug it into? I thought the DRL was in the smaller side box next to the under hood fuse box labeled RELAY.

Look at the Raptor Light Thread I linked. The only way to tap into the DRL circuit is to cut and splice into wiring for DRL wiring. No fuse will get you there.

Yeah. Cutting and splicing. And don't ever use Scotchlocks.

What do you mean with getting a 3A fuse for the add a circuit? I only see 2 slots on it, 1 for the new fuse and 1 for the original

You are correct. I tried that this evening and the lights were on all the time. I tried almost all the fuses under the hood that I thought would work only when the ignition is on. None of them worked. I then ran the wire outside the truck to under the steering wheel fuse box (just to see if it worked) and used the add a fuse to the “tail lights”. This worked, however you cannot shut the lid on that fuse box. The grill light came on when the lights were in “auto”.

So what I’m reading now from the posts is that the easiest way to NOT have to splice into factory wiring is to add a fuse to the under the hood fuse box labeled “inj”??? I think I was reading a few threads on this and one guy had his truck shut off while driving, and then he removed the add a fuse from that slot and everything worked again. Could there be issues adding a fuse to the “inj” plug in?
