Speed bump clunk

Ok so I'm getting the speed bump clunk when I go over the backside of speed bumps with speed. I have 5100s and 2.5 lift in front. Is the clunk from the 5100s or the stock uca? Which is maxed out?

Is it your mud flaps rubbing against the speed bump?

 

Sway bar on and relocated. Checked that already and its not hitting.

No front mudflaps.

 

Clunking on compression or extension of shock?

 

Mine ended up being the factory "skid" plate below the radiator. Try tightening the bolts.

 

Its on the downtravel for sure. I have heard of the 5100s topping out, but that seems so lame with just a 2.5 lift I just don't want to believe it. The stock uca are near their limit too but they do have more droop...maybe not enough.

Definitely not the skid plates though, its a heavy thud.

 

Is your uca hitting your coil on down travel?

 

Does not appear to be, no. There are no marks indicating any contact, but I should put some tape or paint to double check.

 

There are threads talking about it, but super old and more ome related. Also they don't have stock uca.

 

Sway bar is hitting your springs. Get under your truck and look for rubbing marks on your springs.

No its not. Its been relocated and is not hitting. I put paint and tape to check for any contact already.

Its definitely something happening on downtravel. Either the shock topping out or the uca maxed droop.

I think this is the thread you are referring to, but I have stock uca.

 

I found out when I put my coilovers on with a sway bar relocate that the sway bar was hitting to front skid plate supports. Was really bad on down travel. Saw the scrapes after a couple days of driving. So removed the sway bar and thud was gone.

 

Where was it hitting? Can you show a few pics? Based on the feel and thud sound I don't think it's the skid plate but I'm open to anything.
